Booked (formerly PTO) has become a very well known product over its almost 20 years in existence and a lot has changed since the beginning. Originally designed for booking parent teacher interviews, there has since been a constant stream of improvements and new features added to allow for the high specialisation required by Primary and Secondary education, and the flexibility that allows schools to use Booked for all sorts of other school events.

Recently we realised that many schools don’t know that we have a range of other, exceptional products that our team have designed with the same dedication to quality, usefulness, reliability and relevance, so we’re making some changes.

The application formerly known as PTO has had a name change and is now called Booked. This is the first of a number of changes that are coming this year in an effort to bring all our products into a suite with a name and a logo that are easily recognisable as belonging to Educonnex.

You might also have noticed that the URL for your instance of Booked has changed, but the old URL is still working and will continue to work for some time to come, so there won’t be any interruption to your events. We suggest updating the logo and URL on your school website so your community can get used to the new name. The new logo can be found here and the URL is displayed on your Booked dashboard.

Coming up next, we’ll be making changes to how the software looks, so that using Booked will feel just like using any of our other products. One thing you can be sure of is that we’re not messing with the formula of Booked. We know that hundreds of schools love how it works, so all the functionality that you have come to depend on will still be there and we won’t move things around too much.

We’re so excited about the transformation we’re undergoing. Not only does it give us a fresh, new look while still maintaining the smarts we’ve learnt over the years, but also because it gives us a great opportunity to deliver a more unified, modern and connected experience for school communities across Australia and the world.
