PTO has become a very well known product over its almost 20 years in existence and a lot has changed since the beginning. Originally designed for booking parent teacher interviews, there has since been a constant stream of improvements and new features added to allow for the high specialisation required by Primary and Secondary education, and the flexibility that allows schools to use PTO for all sorts of other school events.

Recently, we’ve come to realise that many schools don’t know that we have a range of other, exceptional products that our team have designed with the same dedication to quality, usefulness, reliability and relevance as PTO. So, we’re making some changes.

Starting in 2025, PTO will be known as booked. This will be the first of a number of changes we’re making to bring our products together into a suite, each with name and logo that will be easily recognisable as belonging to Educonnex.

We’ll also be making changes to how the software looks, so that using PTO will feel just like using any of our other products. Like moving house, it might feel a bit different to begin with, but with a bit of time, it will start to feel like home.

One thing you can be sure of – we’re not messing with the formula of PTO. We know that hundreds of schools love how it works, so all the functionality that you have come to depend on will still be there and we won’t move things around too much.

We’re so excited about the transformation we’re undergoing. Not only does it give us a fresh, new look while still maintaining the smarts we’ve learnt over the years, but also because it gives us a great opportunity to deliver a more unified, modern and connected experience for school communities across Australia and the world.
